Which hospital is better?


Have you ever thought about where to go to deliver your baby? Or where to get treatment for certain conditions?

Reading this post by Paul Levy sure got me thinking.

I wish Malaysia has some kind of body or agency that does the ranking of all the hospitals, be it private or government, just like what U.S.News did for US hospitals every year. At least, you will be quite safe to choose one of the top-ranked hospitals pre-determined by a credible methodology.

So what's your take on the best hospitals in Malaysia? The pricier ones? The more friendly and happy-faced hospital staff? Gossips or recommendations by friends or relatives or a non-specialist physician? Or would you rather consider the more important things like published statistical and measurable outcomes of clinical care?
